Your Bill
A New Look to Utility Customers’ Gas Bills
If you are one of National Fuel's utility customers, you may have noticed some billing format changes that became effective on October 1, 2007. These changes were made after gathering feedback from customers and are intended to make your payment history and billing information easier to understand.
Some of the major components of your bill and the changes that were made include:
Improved Account Summary
The area labeled, “Account Summary,” provides a more descriptive explanation and an individual listing of all of the charges included in your total billed amount.
Gas Usage Information and Chart
On the front page of the bill customers will notice a revised usage history graph. Just below the graph, you’ll find improved gas usage information, which includes the type of meter reading used for that month’s bill, monthly and yearly usage statistics.
Don’t Forget the Back Page of Your Bill…
A Breakdown of Monthly Charges
Newly featured on the back page of your bill, is the same helpful breakdown of your Gas Supply Charges and Delivery Service Charges. These charges are itemized to help you understand the main components of your bill, and to monitor changes in the market price of natural gas.
Customized Messages & Helpful Terms
We use the back page for customized messages to our customers and to define the terms you see displayed on your bill.
As a National Fuel customer, you should receive a bill each month. In the event you do not, or you have any questions about your bill, contact us by email or by phone at the appropriate phone number found on the left-hand side of this page.
If you purchase gas from another natural gas supplier that handles its own billing, please contact the company directly with your questions.
