National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation provides interstate natural gas transmission and storage for affiliated and nonaffiliated companies through an integrated gas pipeline system that extends 2,972 miles from southwestern Pennsylvania to the New York-Canadian border at the Niagara River. More
Empire Pipeline, Inc. a 249-mile natural gas transmission pipeline running from an interconnection with TransCanada Pipeline near Buffalo, NY to Syracuse, NY, began operation in 1993. It provides interstate natural gas transportation to major industrial companies, utilities and power producers in the western and central New York area. These utilities and power producers, in turn, supply over 1 million customers with energy. In addition, Empire provides interstate transportation to several interstate pipelines in the same geographic area.
